Home School Communication

Our commitment
Home-School Communication
Effective communication between home and school is essential for supporting our learners’ success. We believe in working together as partners to ensure every child receives consistent support both at school and at home.
Regular, meaningful communication helps us work together to ensure your child thrives. Whether it’s celebrating a breakthrough moment, addressing a concern, or planning next steps, we encourage ongoing dialogue between home and school.
Remember: we’re here to support not just your child, but your whole family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out whenever you need us.

Teams
We use Microsoft Teams for day-to-day communication with families. This secure platform allows us to:
Share daily updates about your child’s learning and achievements
Communicate directly with class teachers and support staff
Share important information and announcements
Maintain regular dialogue about your child’s needs and progress
Need help getting started? Our team is here to support you with setting up Teams. Please contact the school office and we’ll arrange technical support to ensure you can access this valuable communication tool.
Additional Communication Options
Whilst Teams is our primary method of communication, we understand that different families have different preferences:
Telephone conversations with class teachers can be arranged when needed
Termly meetings (in person or virtual) provide dedicated time to discuss your child’s progress in detail
School office remains available for urgent queries on 01702 524193

Evidence for Learning
Tracking Your Child’s Progress
We use Evidence for Learning to capture and track your child’s individual progress through photos and video evidence. This powerful tool allows us to:
Document real-time learning moments
Track progress against your child’s EHCP goals
Create comprehensive termly learning reports
Currently, we send detailed termly learning reports home showing progress against each child’s EHCP goals. We’re also exploring the possibility of offering home login access to Evidence for Learning, which would allow families to view their child’s learning journey in real-time.
