Friends of the St Christopher School Focus Group

Dear Parents and Families,

Thank you all so much for your interest in the ‘Friends of The St. Christopher School Association’.

Friends Associations make a real difference in schools and the research shows that:

• On average Friends Associations raise over £7,000 a year for their school
• Fundraising is the main purpose for most Friends Associations, but many also run activities that help build a strong school community

We are now in a position move things forward and would like to invite all parents and carers to our ‘Friends of TSCS’ Focus Group meeting where we can share ideas on how the association can reach further into the community to support our school.

The ‘Friends of TSCS’ association aims to use innovative and inclusive ways to fundraise that contribute to creating a community in which all of our children can learn and thrive, rather than following traditional PTA fundraising techniques. We also want to exist to bring the communities of home and school closer together.

With this in mind, we already have some ideas we would like to share and receive feedback on but most importantly, we want to hear from you! Whether it is a fundraising idea or someone you may know in the community that we may be able to reach, please come along and share your thoughts!

We hope that following this focus group we can set up our inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) and get the association moving.

This session will take place on Friday 9^th February at 1:30pm at school. Refreshments will be available.
